Faster, continuous data sharing is intended to reduce delays in veterans’ healthcare, benefits, education, and workforce services.

What the order does ​

• Requires the Departments of War and Veterans Affairs to establish continuous sharing of military personnel and treatment records within 180 days.
• Requires immediate transfer of current service members’ personnel and health records upon discharge or release, beginning within 30 days.
• Directs the departments to deploy AI-enabled digital tools within 180 days as a single source for veterans’ benefits, job training, and employment opportunities.
• Requires review and modification of relevant technology contracts within 120 days and interoperability requirements in future contracts.
• Updates transition and workforce programs within 180 days to connect departing service members with jobs, training, apprenticeships, and benefits representatives.
