President’s Council On Sports, Fitness, And Nutrition, And The Reestablishment Of The Presidential Fitness Test

Revocation of Previous Orders:

• Executive Order 13824 (President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition) is revoked.

Amendment of Executive Order 13265:

• Title changed to “President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, and the Reestablishment of the Presidential Fitness Test”.
• Preamble revised to establish the Council and the Presidential Fitness Test.

Health Crisis Acknowledgment:

• Recognition of declining physical health and fitness in America, especially among children.
• Historical context provided from President Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy on youth fitness awareness.

National Health Initiatives:

• Establishment of the Presidential Fitness Test to be administered by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
• Revitalization of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition as a key component of health renewal.
